Beavers Set to face Cougars on Palouse

THE GAME: The Oregon State women's basketball team will take on Washington State Wednesday in Pullman. The game was originally scheduled for Friday Jan. 21, but was postponed due to COVID-19 isues within the Cougar program.

UP NEXT: The Beavers will return home next week to take on USC on Friday and UCLA on Sunday.

VS. WASHINGTON STATE: Oregon State is 59-30 all-time against Washington State and 22-19 in games played in Pullman. The Cougars won both meetings last season, snapping a 13-game OSU winning streak in the series. The last meeting was a double-overtime affair that saw Washington State take a 77-75 win. That contest featured the collegiate debut of Talia von Oelhoffen, who came off the bench with just two practices under her belt after joining the Beavers' mid-season.

QUICK HITTERS: 
- Wednesday's game was rescheduled from Friday Jan. 21 due to COVID-19 isues within the Washington State program
- The Beavers are 7-0 this season when scoring more than 70 points and 2-4 when scoring under 70.
- Oregon State's Kennedy Brown, Taya Corosdale, Talia von Oelhoffen and Jelena Mitrovic are all among the top  20 in the Pac-12 in blocks per game.
- OSU was selected fourth in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll
- Oregon State won nine of its final 12 games during the 2020-21 season, with three of those victories coming over ranked opponents. All three of the Beavers' losses during that stretch game to teams that went on to play in the Final Four (Stanford twice, South Carolina).
- Oregon State is 186-51 since the start of the 2014-15 season, the ninth highest win total in the nation over that span, trailing only UConn, Notre Dame, Baylor, Maryland, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Stanford and Louisville.
- Oregon State is sixth in the nation and first in the Pac-12 in rebounding margin at 11.3 per game.
- The Beavers are second in the nation in defensive rebounds per game with 31.8
- OSU is also second in the nation in blocks per game.

- Oregon State has been blocked on just 4.6 percent of its field goal attempts this season, good for third in the nation (per Her Hoop Stats).
- Meanwhile, the Beavers block 16.2 percent of their opponents field goal attempts, good for third in the nation.
- The Beavers have made seven-straight NCAA Tournaments. Oregon State would have made the NCAA Tournament in eight consecutive years had the 2020 tournament not been cancelled. OSU was slated as a likely top-four seed for the 2020 Tourney.
- Oregon State ended 2020-21 third in the nation in 3-point percentage.
- The Beavers' returning players shot 46.8 percent from the floor during the 2020-21 season.
- Oregon State finished last season 10th nationally in defensive rebounds per game, and 19th nationally in blocks per contest.
- The Beavers have earned 11 wins over top-10 opponents since the start of 2014-15.

GREAT SCOTT: Scott Rueck Quick Hitters 
- 2017 John R. Wooden Pac-12 Coach of the Year, becoming one of five coaches in conference history to win the honor multiple times.
- Record at Oregon State is 249-118 making him the second-winningest coach in Oregon State history. Aki Hill holds the Oregon State wins record with 274.
- Rueck engineered an accelerated turnaround at Oregon State, bringing the program into national prominence during tenure as head coach.
- Prior to joining Oregon State, Rueck served as head coach at George Fox in Newberg, Ore., where he built the program into a Division III national power, winning an NCAA title in 2009.
- Rueck's teams have consistently been known for outstanding defense. The Beavers have allowed 58.2 points per game over the course of his tenure. George Fox allowed just 48.3 points per contest in 2009-10, Rueck's final year there, and set a school record with 45.4 points allowed under Rueck in 2007-08.
- Has led teams to 16 postseason appearances, including seven NCAA Division I Tournaments with the Beavers.
Graduated from Oregon State in 1991.

- Scored 23 of her 25 points vs. Notre Dame in the second half, the largest single-half scoring output by an Oregon State player since Marie Gulich scored 30 in the second half at Arizona State in 2018. Her 20 fourth-quarter points is a Beaver record for points in a quarter.
- Joined the Beavers in January of last season, competing in the final 13 games of the campaign
- Has scored at least 18 points in eight of her last 21 games.
- Is averaging 12.3 points per game over her 25-game collegiate career
- Pac-12 All-Freshman Honorable Mention last season

- Made 81 starts for the Aztecs, starting every game but one over the last three seasons.

- Averaged 10.7 points per game in 2020-21.
- Is the daughter of former NFL defensive lineman Sam Adams.

GRETA THE GREAT: Greta Kampschroeder Quick Hitters
- Selected as Maui Classic Most Outstanding Player.
- Went 11-for-18 from the floor and 7-for-11 from beyond the arc over the Beavers' two games on Maui.

- Has converted all eight of her free throw attempts
- Has started 11-straight games

- Finished her high school career with 1,735 career points - the third highest total in Naperville North High School history, despite having her senior season cut short due to COVID-19.
- Three-time All-Illinois honoree
- Set the Naperville North record with 853 career rebounds.

SAY TAY KID: Taya Corosdale Quick Hitters
- Is averaging 13.3 points per game over her last three games.
- Is ninth in the Pac-12 in rebounds per game, averaging 7.2 rebounds per game this season
- Has at least five rebounds in all but one game this season
- Is sixth in the Pac-12 in blocks per game.
- Recorded her first double-double of the season at Villanova
- Returned to the starting lineup last year, after missing almost all of the 2019-20 campaign due to injury.

- Averaged 17.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game her senior season
- Was part of the Adidas USA Select Team that competed in Spain in 2019.

RETURN OF THE MACK: Ellie Mack Quick Hitters
- Came to the Beavers as a graduate transfer from Bucknell last season, and was granted an extra year of eligibility to return this season due to the NCAA's COVID-19 policies.
- Went a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor (4-for-4 from 3-point range) vs. Colorado, setting a high for scoring in her time with the Beavers at 16 points.
- Leads all Oregon State players with 1,287 career points.
- Was the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2019-20
- Two-time All-Patriot League selection
- Averaged 15.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in her final season at Bucknell
- Shot 43.2 percent from 3-point range in 2019-20 season, good for second in the Patriot League

CODDING RED: Emily Codding Quick Hitters
- Joins the Beavers this season as a graduate transfer from Saint Mary's
- Earned starts in her first two games with the Beavers
- Missed the second half of the 2019-20 campaign due to injury and saw action in just five games during 2020-21 as she recovered
- Was likely on her way to All-WCC honors during her junior year before her season was ended by injury. At the time Codding was averaging 14.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game
- Earned WCC Player of the Week honors on Dec. 15, 2020 after scoring 27 points against Kansas.

GILL COLISEUM:
- Oregon State has a home record of 99-16 since the start of the 2014-15 season
- The Beavers are 42-11 in their last 53 Pac-12 home games, and 58-12 in their last 70. 
- Opponents are shooting 33.9 percent at Gill Coliseum since the start of the 2013-14 season. 
- Seven of the top-10 crowds in Oregon State history have come over the last five seasons, including a record-setting attendance of 9,604 vs. Stanford, two sell out crowds of 9,301 vs. Oregon and a capacity Beavers Beyond the Classroom in 2019-20.

SERBIAN SURGE: Jelena Mitrovic Quick Hitters
- Notched her first career double-double at Villanova, setting career-highs in points and rebounds with 14 and 13, respectively.
- Converted her first career 3-pointer last Monday vs. Colorado
- Appeared in all 20 games last season after missing all of 2019-20 due to injury.
- Had arguably her best game as a Beaver vs. Oregon at the Pac-12 Tournament, finishing with eight points on 4-for-5 shooting to go with six rebounds.
- Shot 52.9 percent from 2-point range last season
- No. 3 rated European prospect in her age group
- Top Scorer and Team MVP of the U18 national champions in Serbia
- Averaged 11.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game at the 2018 European Championships
- Brother Luka is a professional basketball player. 

YO JO: Jovana Subasic Quick Hitters
- Joined the Beavers as a graduate transfer from Washington State last season, and was granted an extra year of eligible to return this season due to the NCAA's COVID-19 policies.
- Scored her first point of the season at Monmouth
- Saw action in 10 games last season
- Is a career 40.2 percent 3-point shooter.
- Played in 31 games for the Cougars in 2019-20, making eight starts over the final 10 games of the season.
- Led WSU in blocks (30) and 3-point field goal percentage (40.0%)
- Competed for Serbia in the European Championships at the U-20, U-18 and U-16 levels, as well as the U-19 World Championships.

SHE'S THE MANNEN: Noelle Mannen Quick Hitters
- Was awarded a scholarship by the program this fall after spending her first two seasons as a walk on.
- Has 20 points through seven games this season, surpassing her season total for 2020-21.
- Has seen action in 10 of the Beavers 12 games this season.
- Walked on at Oregon State , an 2019 after attending the University of San Francisco in 2018-19 (did not play basketball)
- Appeared eight games last season.
- Scored 10 points on 3-for-4 shooting vs. Southern Utah in 2019-20.
- First Team All-Oregon her senior season at Valley Catholic High School
- Hold's Valley Catholic's career records for points, rebounds, assists and steals.
- Also earned All-League honors in soccer and softball, and finished as high as fifth in the state in javelin.

IN THE PAC: 
- The Beavers are 95-29 in Pac-12 play since the start of the 2014-15 season, and 103-30 in their last 132 conference games.
- Beaver players have earned 13 All-Pac-12 First-Team nods over the last six seasons.
- Head coach Scott Rueck is one of five coaches in Pac-12 history to win the John R. Wooden Coach of the Year Award multiple times.

STILL AnDREa: Andrea Aquino Quick Hitters
- Has yet to see action for the Beavers.
- Joined Oregon State as the No. 7 rated recruit in the nation, the highest rated signee in program history.
- Averaged 17.1 points, 12.2 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game during her 2016-17 high school season
- Didn't start playing basketball until the age of 15.

THE STAFF: Oregon State Assistant Coaches and Support Staff Quick Hitters
- Associate Head Coach Jonas Chatterton enters his eighth season with the Beavers after spending four seasons at Colorado.
- Assistant Coach Jenny Huth joins the Beavers this season. Huth previously served as head coach at Northern Colorado, and prior to that as an assistant coach at UCLA.
- Assistant Coach Deven Hunter enters her first season on the Oregon State staff. Hunter worked at San Diego prior to joining the Beavers, and was part of OSU's 2016 Final Four squad as a player.
- DOBO Olivia Murphy graduated from Oregon State, and is in her second year with the OSU staff
- Associate Athletic Trainer Jason Lieuw (code name Tapster) is the longest serving member of the Oregon State staff, currently in his 13th year with the team
- Voice of the Beavers Ron Callan has called 434 Oregon State women's basketball games since joining the program in the 2007-08 season, holding a record of 274-160 during that span.
