Bruins Prep for Home Meets Against Stanford, California
LOS ANGELES – The UCLA swim and dive team returns to Spieker Aquatics Center this weekend to host a pair of Pac-12 dual meets, welcoming in No. 4 Stanford on Friday at 2:00 p.m. PT and No. 7 California on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. PT.
Both meets are admission-free and open to the public.
UCLA is 3-2 so far on the season in dual meets, and is coming off a strong performance in each of its last three competitions.
Most recently, Hannah Butler (top-five in 1-meter and 3-meter) and Zoe Jespersgaard (top-10 in all three events) led a strong effort at the Bruin Diving Invitational from Jan. 14-16. Prior to that, UCLA captured a convincing 161-119 win over UCSD on Jan. 8 in the team's first dual meet of the 2022 calendar year. The Bruins wrapped up 2021 with a dominant showing at the UNLV Invitational, finishing first by a wide margin in the five-team field.
The fourth-ranked Cardinal is 4-0 on the season in dual meets, and is coming off a sweep of the Pac-12 Arizona schools last weekend.
The seventh-ranked Golden Bears meanwhile are 3-1 so far on the season, and also recorded back-to-back wins over the Arizona schools last weekend.
Both Stanford and Cal will face off against USC this weekend as well.
