The Ducks are coming off of a weekend off after COVID protocols within the UO program forced the postponement of matches scheduled against Cal Poly and Gonzaga. Oregon opened the season with a dominant win in the over Portland State in a 7-0 victory. Oregon fell behind early in two of its doubles matches, but rallied to take the opening point after Sophie Luescher and Lillian Mould came back from a 4-0 deficit to win 6-4 while Misaki Kobayashi and Ares Teixido Garcia won at No. 3 doubles, 6-1. The Ducks kept the momentum rolling into singles play, taking all six matches, five of which were in straight sets to finish off the win.

Luescher and Myah Petchey picked up where they left off after a strong fall of singles play, as both improved to 8-2 on the year with wins at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively. Teixido Garcia moved to 6-1 on the season with a three-set victory at the No. 4 spot while Mould and Allison Mulville also won their singles matches.
