Jan 27, 2022

TEMPE, Ariz. – The No. 6 Sun Devil Men's Swim team was one of 10 Division I programs to be named to the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America's Top Scholar All-America team after posting a collective 3.56 GPA for the Fall 2021 semester.

The Sun Devils, who had the 10th-best team GPA across all Division I men's programs, round out a list that consists of Harvard, Brown and Columbia, amongst others.

The Sun Devils are also the only men's team in Division I to earn top-10 rankings in both swimming and team GPA. In the CSCAA's latest Top 25 poll on January 25, the Sun Devils remain at No. 6.

The Stanford Men's Swim team is the only other Pac-12 program on the Top Scholar All-America team.

"Each day, we strive to become champions in the classroom and in the pool," head coach Bob Bowman said. "A major point of emphasis for our men this season has been that excellence in their studies will correlate to excellence in their swimming. It's about mindset, self discipline and attitude.  These are universal values which lead to successful outcomes in all areas of life."
