Track and Field to Compete in Two Meets this Weekend
TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field will travel and compete in two meets this week, the Texas Tech Open & Multis in Lubbock, Texas and the UW Invitational in Seattle, Wash. The competition will start at 10:00 a.m. MST in Lubbock with multis and 4:00 p.m. MST in Seattle.
Nine athletes will compete in the UW Invitational, including the freshmen Ian and Iker Sanchez Lopez, while another 25 will compete in Lubbock, featuring throwers Samantha Noennig and Jordan Geist along with runners like Shannon Meisberger.

The Wildcats competed at the Lumberjack Team Challenge in Flagstaff last weekend and placed multiple athletes placed in the top 10 in the Pac-12 conference in their respective events. Talie Bonds and the high jump team swept the podium with Bonds recording a PR and the top mark in the Pac-12 at 1.78m. Trayvion White-Austin ran a 6.71 in the 60m and won the event for the Wildcats. Pole vaulter Tanner Kippes broke the 5.00m mark for the first time in his collegiate career to place in the top 5 in the Pac-12.
