Eleven Named All-Academic

Jan 28, 2022

ELEVEN STANFORD RUNNERS were named to the All-Academic cross country team by the U.S. Track and  Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, and both the Cardinal men's and women's teams received Team Academic honors.

From the men's team, Meika Beaudoin-Rousseau, Devin Hart, Charles Hicks, DJ Principe, Ky Robinson, and Cole Sprout earned the distinction.

From the women's team, those honored were Christina Aragon, Zofia Dudek, Julia Heymach, Lucy Jenks, and Audrey Suarez.
The women's team had a cumulative grade-point average of 3.705 and the men had a combined GPA of 3.498.

Stanford was the only school in the country to place both teams among the top six at the NCAA Championships – the men were fifth and the women sixth. Stanford also swept the NCAA West Region team titles and earned individual championships with Hicks winning the Pac-12 men's race and Heymach capturing the West Region women's.

To qualify, runners must have earned All-America honors at the NCAA Championships (top 40) or placed among the top 25 at an NCAA regional and have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.3.
