Washington vs. San Diego State, 11 a.m. | Live Video and Stats
SEATTLE -- The Husky men's tennis team continues its nonconference run this Sunday at home when San Diego State comes into the Nordstrom Tennis Center for an 11 a.m. dual match. The Dawgs are off to their best start since 2011 with a 6-0 record, and they look to keep raising their level each time out.
The match with SDSU was originally set for Friday but was pushed back until Sunday. The Aztecs only just opened their dual match season on Wednesday with a 6-1 win over UC San Diego. Before playing the Huskies, San Diego State and Portland will play on Saturday at the Nordstrom Tennis Center. Last season, the Aztecs went 5-15 and 2-5 in league play, but they gave UW a tough battle down in San Diego, which the Huskies pulled out, 4-3.
A number of Huskies remain perfect thus far in dual matches, led by Ewen Lumsden, who is the one Husky to start in all six matches and owns a 6-0 record. Jack Davis and Nedim Suko are both 5-0, and Rikuto Yamaguchi is 4-0. Clement Chidekh, the nation's third-ranked singles player, has started three of the six matches thus far, and is 3-0. Last week, freshman Cesar Bouchelaghem made his collegiate debut, and won his first two starts.
