Beavers to Face Arizona Sunday in Tucson

THE GAME: The Oregon State women's basketball team heads to Tucson on Sunday for a matchup with No. 8 Arizona.

UP NEXT: The Beavers will head to Stanford Wednesday for a mid-week matchup with the Cardinal. OSU will then return to the Beaver State for back-to-back games against Oregon, beginning Friday at Gill Coliseum.

VS. ARIZONA: Oregon State is 38-34 all-time against Arizona. The two sides met at Gill Coliseum earlier this season, with the Wildcats taking a dramatic two-point victory. Taya Corosdale went 6-for-8 to finish that contest with 19 points and eight rebounds.

QUICK HITTERS: 
- Oregon State announced on Friday that head coach Scott Rueck has signed a contract extension running through the 2030-31 season
- The Pac-12 announced Friday that Oregon State will face Stanford Wednesday in California.
- Sunday will mark the first of five-straight games for the Beavers against top-20 competition (at No. 8 Arizona, at No. 2 Stanford, vs. No. 19 Oregon, at No. 19 Oregon, vs. No. 2 Stanford). This marks the first time in program history the Beavers have played five-straight games against ranked teams.
- The Beavers are 8-0 this season when scoring more than 70 points and 3-6 when scoring under 70.
- All six of Oregon State's losses this season have come by 10 points or fewer with three of those games being decided by four points or less.
- The Beavers are 9-1 when shooting 40 percent or better this season.
- Oregon State's Kennedy Brown and Taya Corosdale are both in the top-10 in the Pac-12 in blocks per game and rebounds per game.
- OSU was selected fourth in the Pac-12 Preseason Coaches Poll
- Oregon State won nine of its final 12 games during the 2020-21 season, with three of those victories coming over ranked opponents. All three of the Beavers' losses during that stretch game to teams that went on to play in the Final Four (Stanford twice, South Carolina).
- Oregon State is 188-53 since the start of the 2014-15 season, the ninth highest win total in the nation over that span, trailing only UConn, Notre Dame, Baylor, Maryland, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Stanford and Louisville.
- Oregon State is 18th in the nation and second in the Pac-12 in rebounding margin at 8.5 per game.
- The Beavers are second in the nation in defensive rebounds per game with 31.5
- OSU is also seventh in the nation in blocks per game.

- Oregon State is fourth in the nation in defensive rebounding rate, pulling down 76.6 percent of its opponent's misses.

- The Beavers have made seven-straight NCAA Tournaments. Oregon State would have made the NCAA Tournament in eight consecutive years had the 2020 tournament not been cancelled. OSU was slated as a likely top-four seed for the 2020 Tourney.
- The Beavers have earned 11 wins over top-10 opponents since the start of 2014-15.
- Oregon State has been selected to host an NCAA Regional at Moda Center in Portland in 2024. The Beavers also hosted a 2019 Regional, and were slated to host another in 2020 prior to the cancellation of the NCAA Tournament.

GREAT SCOTT: Scott Rueck Quick Hitters 
- Signed a contract extension on Feb. 4 running through the end of the 2030-31 season.
- 2017 John R. Wooden Pac-12 Coach of the Year, becoming one of five coaches in conference history to win the honor multiple times.
- Record at Oregon State is 251-120 making him the second-winningest coach in Oregon State history. Aki Hill holds the Oregon State wins record with 274.
- Rueck engineered an accelerated turnaround at Oregon State, bringing the program into national prominence during tenure as head coach.
- Prior to joining Oregon State, Rueck served as head coach at George Fox in Newberg, Ore., where he built the program into a Division III national power, winning an NCAA title in 2009.
- Rueck's teams have consistently been known for outstanding defense. The Beavers have allowed 58.2 points per game over the course of his tenure. George Fox allowed just 48.3 points per contest in 2009-10, Rueck's final year there, and set a school record with 45.4 points allowed under Rueck in 2007-08.
- Has led teams to 16 postseason appearances, including seven NCAA Division I Tournaments with the Beavers.
- Graduated from Oregon State in 1991.

I TALIA YOU WHAT: Talia von Oelhoffen Quick Hitters
- Scored  a combined 52 points vs. the LA schools last weekend
- Scored 31 points Friday vs. USC, becoming the seventh Beaver to score 30+ during Scott Rueck's tenure, joining Jamie Weisner, Marie Gulich, Alea Goodman, Ruth Hamblin, Kat Tudor and Destiny Slocum.
- Preseason All-Pac-12 honoree
- Maui Classic All-Tournament Team selection
- Scored 23 of her 25 points vs. Notre Dame in the second half, the largest single-half scoring output by an Oregon State player since Marie Gulich scored 30 in the second half at Arizona State in 2018. Her 20 fourth-quarter points is a Beaver record for points in a quarter.
- Joined the Beavers in January of last season, competing in the final 13 games of the campaign
- Has scored at least 18 points in 10 of her last 24 games.
- Is averaging 13.3 points per game over her 29-game collegiate career

- Returned to the starting lineup last year, after missing almost all of the 2019-20 campaign due to injury.
- Set a career-high with four steals last Friday vs. USC.
- Was one of six Pac-12 players to finish in the top-30 in the conference last season in both assists and rebounds.
- 63 of her 89 shots last season came from beyond the arc.

- Hit the game winning shot as the clock expired in overtime Friday vs. USC.
- Has 10 games this season with seven or more rebounds and has at least five boards in every contest but two.
- Is seventh in the Pac-12 in rebounds per game with 7.4
- Oregon State's season opener marked Brown's first competitive game in 644 days.
- At the time of her injury, she was second in the Pac-12 in blocks.
- Is tied for fifth on Oregon State's freshman blocks list.

- Made 81 starts for the Aztecs, starting every game but one over the last three seasons.
- Shot 44.4 percent from the floor last season.
- Averaged 10.7 points per game in 2020-21.
- Is the daughter of former NFL defensive lineman Sam Adams.

GRETA THE GREAT: Greta Kampschroeder Quick Hitters
- Selected as Maui Classic Most Outstanding Player.
- Went 11-for-18 from the floor and 7-for-11 from beyond the arc over the Beavers' two games on Maui.
- McDonald's All-American
- Recorded her first missed free throw last Wednesday, and is now 9-for-10 on her career.
- Has started 15-straight games
- Jordan Brand Classic All-American
- Finished her high school career with 1,735 career points - the third highest total in Naperville North High School history, despite having her senior season cut short due to COVID-19.
- Three-time All-Illinois honoree
- Set the Naperville North record with 853 career rebounds.

SPLASHTYNNE : AJ Marotte Quick Hitters
- Has 22 points over her last four games, surpassing her total from her prior seven games combined.
- Exploded for 15 points in her collegiate debut, knocking down all three of her 3-point attempts
- Four time Texas Girls Coaches Association 6A All-State selection.
- Led Vista Ridge to the semifinals of the 6A Texas State Tournament her junior season.
- Averaged 17.5 points and 8.6 rebounds per game her senior season
- Was part of the Adidas USA Select Team that competed in Spain in 2019.

RETURN OF THE MACK: Ellie Mack Quick Hitters
- Came to the Beavers as a graduate transfer from Bucknell last season, and was granted an extra year of eligibility to return this season due to the NCAA's COVID-19 policies.
- Went a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor (4-for-4 from 3-point range) vs. Colorado, setting a high for scoring in her time with the Beavers at 16 points.
- Leads all Oregon State players with 1,314 career points.
- Was the Patriot League Player of the Year in 2019-20
- Two-time All-Patriot League selection
- Averaged 15.0 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in her final season at Bucknell
- Shot 43.2 percent from 3-point range in 2019-20 season, good for second in the Patriot League

CODDING RED: Emily Codding Quick Hitters
- Has played 16 minutes or more in each of her last five games
- Joins the Beavers this season as a graduate transfer from Saint Mary's
- Earned starts in her first two games with the Beavers
- Missed the second half of the 2019-20 campaign due to injury and saw action in just five games during 2020-21 as she recovered
- Was likely on her way to All-WCC honors during her junior year before her season was ended by injury. At the time Codding was averaging 14.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game
- Earned WCC Player of the Week honors on Dec. 15, 2020 after scoring 27 points against Kansas.

GILL COLISEUM:
- Oregon State has a home record of 101-16 since the start of the 2014-15 season
- The Beavers are 44-11 in their last 55 Pac-12 home games, and 30-12 in their last 72. 
- Opponents are shooting 33.9 percent at Gill Coliseum since the start of the 2013-14 season. 
- Seven of the top-10 crowds in Oregon State history have come over the last five seasons, including a record-setting attendance of 9,604 vs. Stanford, two sell out crowds of 9,301 vs. Oregon and a capacity Beavers Beyond the Classroom in 2019-20.

SERBIAN SURGE: Jelena Mitrovic Quick Hitters
- Scored 13 points in just 16 minutes of playing time Friday at Arizona State
- Notched her first career double-double at Villanova, setting career-highs in points and rebounds with 14 and 13, respectively.
- Converted her first career 3-pointer vs. Colorado
- Appeared in all 20 games last season after missing all of 2019-20 due to injury.
- Had arguably her best game as a Beaver vs. Oregon at the Pac-12 Tournament, finishing with eight points on 4-for-5 shooting to go with six rebounds.
- Shot 52.9 percent from 2-point range last season
- No. 3 rated European prospect in her age group
- Top Scorer and Team MVP of the U18 national champions in Serbia
- Averaged 11.7 points and 11.3 rebounds per game at the 2018 European Championships
- Brother Luka is a professional basketball player. 

IN THE PAC: 
- The Beavers are 97-31 in Pac-12 play since the start of the 2014-15 season, and 105-32 in their last 136 conference games.
- Beaver players have earned 13 All-Pac-12 First-Team nods over the last six seasons.

SHE'S THE MANNEN: Noelle Mannen Quick Hitters
- Was awarded a scholarship by the program this fall after spending her first two seasons as a walk on.
- Has 23 points so far this season, leaving her six shy of matching her total from her first two seasons combined.
- Has seen action in 14 of the Beavers 17 games this season.
- Walked on at Oregon State , an 2019 after attending the University of San Francisco in 2018-19 (did not play basketball)
- Appeared eight games last season.
- Scored 10 points on 3-for-4 shooting vs. Southern Utah in 2019-20.
- First Team All-Oregon her senior season at Valley Catholic High School
- Hold's Valley Catholic's career records for points, rebounds, assists and steals.
- Also earned All-League honors in soccer and softball, and finished as high as fifth in the state in javelin.

TAYLOR MADE: Taylor Jones Quick Hitters
- Oregon State announced on Feb. 4 that Jones will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery. Jones has not seen action since Dec. 19.
- McClain Award Watch List for the second-straight season
- Preseason All-Pac-12 honoree
- All-Pac-12 honoree and Pac-12 Defensive Honorable Mention last season
- Maui Classic All-Tournament Team selection
- Led the Pac-12 in rebounds per game last season and was second in the conference in field goal percentage

YO JO: Jovana Subasic Quick Hitters
- Joined the Beavers as a graduate transfer from Washington State last season, and was granted an extra year of eligible to return this season due to the NCAA's COVID-19 policies.
- Scored her first point of the season at Monmouth
- Saw action in 10 games last season
- Is a career 40.2 percent 3-point shooter.
- Played in 31 games for the Cougars in 2019-20, making eight starts over the final 10 games of the season.
- Led WSU in blocks (30) and 3-point field goal percentage (40.0%)
- Competed for Serbia in the European Championships at the U-20, U-18 and U-16 levels, as well as the U-19 World Championships.

STILL AnDREa: Andrea Aquino Quick Hitters
- Has yet to see action for the Beavers.
- Joined Oregon State as the No. 7 rated recruit in the nation, the highest rated signee in program history.
- Averaged 17.1 points, 12.2 rebounds and 7.0 blocks per game during her 2016-17 high school season
- Didn't start playing basketball until the age of 15.

THE STAFF: Oregon State Assistant Coaches and Support Staff Quick Hitters
- Associate Head Coach Jonas Chatterton enters his eighth season with the Beavers after spending four seasons at Colorado.
- Assistant Coach Jenny Huth joins the Beavers this season. Huth previously served as head coach at Northern Colorado, and prior to that as an assistant coach at UCLA.
- Assistant Coach Deven Hunter enters her first season on the Oregon State staff. Hunter worked at San Diego prior to joining the Beavers, and was part of OSU's 2016 Final Four squad as a player.
- DOBO Olivia Murphy graduated from Oregon State, and is in her second year with the OSU staff
- Associate Athletic Trainer Jason Lieuw (code name Sidewinder) is the longest serving member of the Oregon State staff, currently in his 13th year with the team
- Voice of the Beavers Ron Callan has called 438 Oregon State women's basketball games since joining the program in the 2007-08 season, holding a record of 276-162 during that span.
