Cats Split Dual Meet with Arizona State

TUCSON, Ariz. - The Arizona Swimming and Diving team split their dual meet this weekend at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center against Arizona State. 

The Wildcat women proved victorious over the Sun Devils with a score of 155-139, while the men fell by a score of 195-103.

Cats were led by Aria Bernal on the women's side as she won both of her events, 100 and 200 back, along with the 200 IM to give Arizona an early lead in the meet. Senior Brooks Fail once again grabbed multiple event wins of his own, this time taking the 500 and 1000 free events.
 

Diver Bjorn Markentin had strong performance as well Saturday afternoon, as he won the 1-meter and 3-meter events, but it wasn't enough for the men.

This marks the last home meet of the season for Arizona Swimming and Diving — next up for them will be the Women's Pac-12 Championships in Federal Way, Washington from Wed, Feb. 23-26.
