Ducks Close with Their Best Round in Hawaii

WAIMEA, Hawaii – Oregon closed out its 2022 spring opener by shooting its lowest round of the tournament, a 7-under 281, Saturday at the Amer Ari Intercollegiate played at Hapuna Golf Course.
 
The Ducks finished 15th at 8-under 856 in a field that included 10 top-25 teams and six of the nation's top-10 schools.
 
How It Happened: Three Ducks – Owen Avrit, Greyson Leach and Greg Solhaug – turned in 2-under 70 rounds on Saturday, while Craig Ronne and Nate Stember each carded 71s.
 
For the tournament, Stember tied for 34th at 5-under 211, while Avrit, Leach and Eric Doyle, competing as an individual, were tied for 58th at 1-under 215.

Notable: Avrit's round included his first eagle of the season. He scored a three on the par-5 14th hole. Avrit has been under par in nine of 15 rounds this season.
