No. 7 USC Men's Volleyball Returns To Galen Center For Two-Match Homestand

Feb 8, 2022

THIS WEEK
The USC men's volleyball team returns to the Galen Center for a two-match homestand this week. The Trojans will face No. 8 UC Santa Barbara on Wednesday (Feb. 9) at 7 p.m. PT and then will challenge CSUN on Thursday (Feb. 10) at 7 p.m. PT. USC has an 8-2 record.

The Gauchos are 5-3 on the 2022 season. This will be USC's third encounter with UC Santa Barbara this year. The Trojans opened up the 2022 with two wins against the Gauchos (a 3-2 victory on Jan. 6 and a 3-1 win on Jan. 7) at the Asics Invitational hosted by UC Santa Barbara at the Thunderdome. Despite those two losses, the Gauchos are on a hot streak, winning their last four matches (two victories against Pepperdine and wins over Penn State and Ohio State).

CSUN opened the 2022 season three weeks late due to COVID-19 protocols and have a 2-1 record. The Matadors most recently defeated UC Merced 3-1 on Feb. 4.

Wednesday's match at the Galen Center will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network, and Thursday's home match will be available via live stream (all links found on the men's volleyball schedule page at USCTrojans.com).
