Sun Devil T&F Set for Tri-Meet Weekend

TEMPE - Sun Devil Track and Field is split amongst three meets this weekend for another round of indoor action. Distance runners compete Friday and Saturday in Washington's Husky Classic, sprinters are in Arkansas for Arkansas' two-day Tyson Invitational, and the remaining squad will compete in New Mexico's Don Kirby Elite Invitational Friday and Saturday.

ASU has continued to turn heads throughout the first five meets of the indoor season. Just last week Katie Eidem scored 4,019 points in the pentathlon to jump to third all-time at ASU. She recorded personal records in the 60H (8.62), shot (11.46m/37-7.25), and 800m (1:17.92). Justin Robinson followed by recording the fourth-fastest 400m time in program history - 46.06. The freshman now has two all-time top-5 marks. He previously ran 20.81 in the 200m which ranks second. The Sun Devils have added 13 all-time top-10 marks thus far this indoor season.
 
ASU's men's squad has been lights out since the year began. The men opened at No. 17 in the USTFCCCA rankings and are currently sitting 19th in the country. The men have five marks in the national top-20, while the women have seven in the top-50. Robinson's 400m mark sits fourth in the country, while three-time NCAA Champion Turner Washington is second in the shot put with a 21.33m/69-11.75 mark. Discus champion and Olympian Jorinde van Klinken leads the women with a second-place standing in the shot (61-11.5). Eidem sits 22nd in the pentathlon, Mysa Lesnar is 27th in the shot (16.41m/53-10.25).
