GymDawgs Post 194.450 In Dual Meet With Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Oregon-- The Washington women's gymnastics team scored a 194.450 in their meet against Oregon State. 
 
The Huskies (2-4), coming off a win at home against Arizona, were looking to put up a strong score on the road. With a solid first three events, things were looking up for the Dawgs. They showed their consistency and power, but, in the end, the Beavers (5-1) pulled ahead scoring a 197.275. 
 
Geneva Thompson was the individual event winner on vault, where she posted a 9.925. Amara Cunningham also posted a solid score of 9.875.
 
On bars, Deiah Moody and Skylar Killough-Wilhelm tied for second, scoring a 9.875. 
 
On floor, Ashley Blum came out with energy and a spark for Washington. She posted a team-high score of 9.875 for the Huskies. 
 
In the final event for the GymDawgs, Brenna Brooks and Killough-Wilhelm performed solid beam routines, but struggled to surpass that 9.800 mark.
 
Next, Washington is heading to Fort Worth, Texas for the Metroplex Challenge. The meet is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 19 at 4:45 p.m. The Huskies will face Oklahoma, Stanford, and the University of Denver.

  • Killough-Wilhelm earned a score of 9.875
  • Deiah Moody contributed a 9.875
  • Morgan Bowles with a 9.850

 

BEAM
  • Brooks earned a score of 9.775

 

FLOOR
  • Blum with a 9.875
  • Cunningham scored a 9.825
  • Isa Weiss posted a 9.825
  • Killough-Wilhelm with a 9.800
