Jumpers and Throwers Head to Flagstaff for NAU Tune-Up

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. – Arizona Track and Field will travel to Flagstaff to compete in the NAU Tune-up to prepare for the Pac-12 Invitational the following weekend. The competition will start at 1:00 p.m. MST on Friday with the women's pole vault featuring Katie Daily, who is third in the conference in the event.

Nine athletes will compete in the NAU Tune-up, including throwing duo Samantha Noennig and Jordan Geist along with high jumper Talie Bonds. All three athletes are in the top 5 in their events in the Pac-12 conference as well as vaulter Katie Daily.

Last weekend, the Wildcats competed in the Windy City Invitational, where Shannon Meisberger broke the school indoor record for the 600m run with a time of 1:28.19, The senior also won the women's 400m dash with her second PR of the weekend with a time of 53.67. Alexa Porpaczy won the women's high jump for the first time this season with a height of 1.75m with three Wildcats finishing in the top five. Trayvion White-Austin placed first in the Men's Long Jump with his second PR of 7.28m.
