LAST TIME OUT FOR THE UTES
The Utah squad had some excellent matches last weekend, where they downed the Gonzaga Bulldogs, the Boise State Broncos, and the Nevada Wolves in action-filled courts. Despite some tough matches, the Utes have maintained their record and are prepared to defend their courts.

Utah has won all the doubles points in their matches since the beginning of the spring season, boosting their ability to maintain an undefeated record. Franco Capalbo, Utah's No. 1 position for singles, hasn't dropped a single match. Similarly, the doubles team consisting of Francisco Bastias and Bruno Caula playing at the No. 2 position have won all their matches and had one unfinished. Utah's No.2 and No.3 positions for singles, Francisco Bastias and Geronimo Espin Busleiman, have won all but one of their singles matches, further aiding the squad in their impressive record.

SCOUTING DRAKE
The Drake Bulldogs are on their way to Utah with an 0-5 record for a weekend of matches. Drake will play with Utah State before coming to SLC to face Montana State and Utah. All of Drake's matches have been road matchups this season. Drake is coming off a 7-0 loss to Oklahoma on Feb. 13.

SCOUTING MONTANA STATE
After facing each other a handful of times this fall, they now square off in the spring. Montana State is 7-1 on the season and has won its last six straight matches. The only loss for the Bobcats came to Gonzaga, 4-0, on Jan. 22. Brad Buckland and Daan Van Dijk lead the team in singles, who each have six wins on the season. The Bobcats are39-6 in singles play. In doubles, they are 19-4 on the season and have played nine different doubles teams. They have won each of the last six doubles points.

BEST START IN PROGRAM HISTORY
The Utes opened the season 11-0, which ties the best start in program history. The last time the Utes started 11-0 was during the 2015-16 season. This is only the second time in program history that the Utes have started 11-0.

HOME SWEET HOME
Since the beginning of the 2015 season, the Utes have dominated home play and hold an 83-20 (.806) record at the Eccles Tennis Center. In the past four seasons, Utah holds a 44-7 (.862) record in Salt Lake City. Last season, the Utes went 13-3 at home, the most since in a single season since 2015. Utah is 4-0 at home this season.

APPLEGATE JOINS THE UTES
Utah's men's tennis head coach Roeland Brateanu has announced the commitment of Dylan Applegate. Applegate is ranked No. 2 in Utah. While attending Park City High School, Applegate played both football and tennis. He was a wide receiver on the football team and played No. 1 singles for tennis. Applegate led the team to their first Team Championship in over a decade. He won the Utah State High School Championships at No. 1 singles.
