USC's Shane Ffrench, Jack Boulger Post Top 20 Finishes At John A. Burns Intercollegiate

Shane Ffrench tied for 14th at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate, his second-highest finish at USC.

Freshman Jackson Rivera bounced back from his worst round of the season with his second sub par round of the tournament whole sophomore Shane Ffrench and senior Jack Boulger each posted top 21 finishes to highlight the USC men's golf team's final-round efforts at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate at the Ocean Course Hokuala in Lihu'e, Kaua'i on Saturday (Feb. 19).

USC finished 11th in the 18-team tournament at 9-over 869 (283-289-297). New Mexico won the event at 25-under with Arizona second (-16).

Ffrench tied for 14th at 3-under 213 (66-70-77), his second-highest finish as a Trojan. He was in the hunt for his first collegiate title early in the round but had setbacks on 17 and 18. Still, his finish was a season-best effort.

Boulger, playing individually, also registered his best finish in Cardinal and Gold, tying for 20th at 1-under 215 (70-70-75).

Rivera shook off his second-round 82 with his second 1-under effort this week and finished 68th at 8-over 224 (71-82-71). He closed his round with three birdies in a row.

Freshman Gavin Aurilia tied for 40th at 4-over 220 (74-72-74), posting a pair of birdies over his final four holes.

Sophomore Krando Nishiba tied for 44th at 5-over 221 (72-74-75) while junior Parker Sisk tied for 97th at 17-over 233 (78-73-82).
