Wrestling Earns Ranked Wins, Pins In Victory At Stanford

STANFORD, Calif. – Grant Willits pinned the nation's fourth-ranked wrestler, Mateo Olmos earned his second consecutive ranked win and Oregon State wrestling cruised to a 30-9 win over Stanford on Sunday afternoon.
 
Trey Munoz and Brandon Kaylor also picked up pins in the victory, which marked the Beavers' regular-season finale.
 
OSU won at seven weights, with Devan Turner also picking up a ranked win via a decision. Gary Traub won his 18th consecutive bout and Hunter Willits finished with a major decision at 157.
 
Grant Willits had the headline victory Sunday, pinning No. 4 Real Woods in 3:54. The victory marked the 22nd of the season for Willits, who has seven pins this season. He has won 15 consecutive bouts heading into the Pac-12 Championships on March 6.
 
Olmos earned a 6-4 victory over No. 32 Tyler Eischens at 174 pounds, just a day after defeating CSUB's Albert Urias, who is ranked 31st. Olmos is now 15-7 this season. He is 9-2 in duals this season.
 
Kaylor picked up his third pin of the season, and 18th overall win, by downing Suhas Chundi in 5:34 at 125 pounds. That win came right after Traub's 7-3 decision over Peter Ming, and put OSU up 9-3.
 
Devan Turner made it 12-3 thanks to a 5-1 decision over No. 33 Jackson Disario. Turner won his 19th bout of the season and 83rd of his career.
 
Munoz has won eight of his last nine bouts with a pin of Nick Addison at 184 pounds. He picked up the fall in 5:29, ending the dual, which gave him 16 wins on the year.
 
Hunter Willits earned his third consecutive win, and seventh in his last eight, via a 12-3 major decision over Charlie Darracott at 157 pounds.
