Clark Selected UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week
LOS ANGELES – Sophomore Jaylen Clark of the men's basketball team has been selected the UCLA Student-Athlete of the Week, presented by Ready, for Feb. 15 – Feb. 21.
Clark averaged 21.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals in the Bruins' two home victories last week. Inserted into UCLA's starting lineup in both games, Clark shot 70.4 percent from the field, making 19 of 27 shots. He scored 18 points, totaled 11 rebounds, added five assists and had four steals (first collegiate double-double) in the Bruins' 76-56 win against Washington State on Thursday night. Two days later, Clark scored a career-high 25 points and connected on 12 of 16 shots in UCLA's 76-50 victory against Washington.
This is Clark's first-career athlete of the week award.
