MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Peter Makk, Fr., USC (Budapest, Hungary)

  • Won three court No. 4 singles matches as USC went 3-1 last week, including 2-1 against Top-15 opponents.
  • Clinched USC's match versus Portland (4-3) as he took down Nikolas Tvedt (6-2, 6-2).
  • Went 2-0 at No. 4 singles at the ITA National Team Indoor Championship.
  • Key in USC’s 4-1 comeback victory over No. 15 Mississippi in the consolation draw of ITA National Team Indoor Championship with a straight-sets win over Lukas Engelhardt (6-1, 6-2).
  • The freshman beat No. 8 Stanford's 49th-ranked Max Basing in USC's 4-1 comeback win over the Cardinal in consolation play at the ITA Indoors.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Connie Ma, Fr., STANFORD (Dublin, Calif.)

  • Playing at No. 1 singles, fought off four set points in the second set of her match against Saint Mary's to defeat the country's No. 36-ranked Mariia Kozyreva (6-4, 7-6 (6)). 
  • Victory improved Ma to 15-4 overall and was her third victory over a ranked opponent this season.
