UCLA Drops to 22nd After Round Two at The Prestige

LA QUINTA, Calif. – The UCLA men's golf team shot a 28-over, 312 in round two of The Prestige on the PGA West Norman Golf Course, dropping three spots to 22nd place. Graduate Eddy Lai posted the Bruins' best score on day two with a 2-over, 73 featuring four birdies.
 
Half of the 24-team field has not finished their second round.
 
UC Davis currently leads the team leaderboard midway through round two. Texas Tech's Ludvig Aberg owns the best individual score through two rounds at 2-under, 140 (71-69). He is the only golfer with an under-par score through two rounds.
 
Freshmen Pablo Ereño Perez and Alvaro Mueller Baumgart Lucena each recorded scores of 8-over, 79 in round two with four birdies between them. On the front nine, Ereño Perez shot a 1-over, 36 and Muller shot an even-par 35.
 
Freshman Evan Chien was UCLA's last counting score of the day with a 10-over 81.
