USC Baseball Falls at Home, 6-2, to UC San Diego

LOS ANGELES – The USC baseball team dropped its first midweek contest of the season, falling 6-2 to UC San Diego on Tuesday night at Dedeaux Field.
 
The Trojans fall to 2-2 on the season, while the Tritons move to 4-1 on the year.
 
UC San Diego put up one run in the second and then added two in the fourth for all the offense they needed. Michael Fuhrman and Marc Filia each had two RBI in the game for the visitors.
 
Garret Guillemette drove in a run to get USC on the board with a single in the sixth and Rhylan Thomas tripled home a run in the seventh.
 
The Trojans used eight pitchers on the night, with Carson Lambert, Nate Clow, Matt Keating and Ethan Reed tossing scoreless relief appearances.
