Busy Spring Ahead for Buffs Soccer
BOULDER – Spring soccer is just around the corner for Colorado head coach Danny Sanchez and Co. The Buffaloes will play five dates in March and April, headlined by an end of the season round-robin between select front-range schools at Prentup Field.
Colorado's opening spring date will be Sunday, Mar. 13, with a pair of matches against BC United Women (3 p.m.) and UCCS (6 p.m.). The matchup against BC United will be outdoors at either Prentup or Kittredge Field and then the team will move inside the IPF for the nightcap against UCCS.
CU will be in action every Saturday in April, starting with on Apr. 2. The Buffs will host 2021 national runner-up BYU.
Colorado's lone road stop is set for Apr. 9, with a quick visit to Nebraska. CU will return home to host Wyoming on Apr. 16.
The spring will conclude with an exciting, combined weekend of events. Colorado will host its inaugural Soccer Ball, a fundraiser and community event to support the CU soccer program on Friday, Apr. 22. The black-tie event will include a dinner, silent auction and paddle raise. All proceeds will be used for facility and equipment improvements and to enhance experiences for the team's student-athletes.
The weekend will conclude with a condensed version of the Colorado Cup. The Buffs will host Denver, Air Force and Northern Colorado with each team scheduled to play three 50-minute matches.
