SEATTLE, Wash. – The Washington gymnastics team will head to the Golden State this weekend to face UCLA on Sunday, February 27 at 2:00 p.m. PT.
This meet comes after the GymDawgs posted two consecutive season team high scores last weekend. The 197.275 the Huskies scored in their meet with Utah is the 9th best team score in program history.
"They have been practicing like this all year," said head coach Jen Llewellyn. "It is just about getting them to believe and trust that what they practice is what they compete. You have to take all the emotions out and just focus on your job, so it has been nice to see them finally settle into their routines and not get over-anxious or over-emotional."
Washington looks to keep trending in this direction and improving with every meet they compete in.
Along with posting a new season-high team score, there were six different gymnastics who posted new career highs last weekend.
"You are starting to see just the peak of their potential," said Llewellyn.
You can watch the meet with the Bruins on Pac-12 Network or follow along on social media.
