LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- The Washington gymnastics team posted a 194.300 in their meet with UCLA in Los Angeles, California. The Huskies (4-7) showed their grit and fight throughout the meet, after they got off to a slow start on bars. The Bruins scored a 197.125 to win the overall dual.
Skylar Killough-Wilhelm continued to shine for the GymDawgs. She scored a 9.900 on beam in the anchor position to tie for first on the event.
Vault was another bright spot for Washington, with Killough-Wilhelm, Lana Navarro, and Geneva Thompson all posting scores of 9.825. Amara Cunningham had the high score for the GymDawgs on vault with a 9.900.
On bars, Killough-Wilhelm scored a 9.850, the high-score for Washington.
Cunningham scored a 9.850 on floor, followed closely behind by Navarro who earned a 9.800.
Next, Washington will host Stanford and Utah State on Sunday, March 6 in Alaska Airlines Arena at 2:00 p.m. PT.
