Men’s Golf Set for Lake Las Vegas Invitational

The Utah Men's golf team will travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete in the Lake Las Vegas Invitational February 28- March 2. The three-day tournament, hosted by Costal Carolina, will run Monday-Wednesday, and take place at the Lake Las Vegas Golf Course. This will be Utah's first time competing in the Lake Las Vegas Invitational and the first time the team has competed in Nevada since Utah joined the Pac-12.
The 39th ranked Utes will compete in a field of 15 team that includes four other teams ranked in the top 70- No. 37 UAB, No. 53 Little Rock, No. 61 Oregon State, and No. 68 Kentucky. The rest of the field includes Kansas City, High Point, Georgia State, Costal Carolina, Arkansas State, West Virginia, Saint Mary's, Rocky Mountain, Michigan, and Louisiana.
The Utes' five-man lineup will once again consist of seniors Tristan Mandur and Blake Tomlinson, sophomore Javier Barcos, redshirt freshmen Martín León and true freshmen Braxton Watts. This will be Watts first time competing in consecutive tournaments in his young career.

The Lake Las Vegas Invitational is a three-day tournament consisting of 54 holes with 18 being played each day of the event. The tournament will take place at the Reflection Bay Golf Club in Henderson, Nev.
LAST TIME OUT
Utah competed in their first tournament in the John A. Burns Intercollegiate February 17-19 in Lihue, Hawaii. The team finished in third place out of a 15-team field after shooting 11-under (853). Barcos and Leon both led the team after shooting 4-under (212) to tie for 12th. Watts also impressed in his second ever tournament with the team finishing in a career high 20th after shooting 1-under (215). Tomlinson used a strong final round to push himself inside the top 30 in a tie for 26th after shooting even par (216). Rounding out the team was Mandur who shot 5-over to tie for 44th.
