Osborne Selected Pac-12 Player of Week
For the second time this season and fifth time in her career, junior guard Charisma Osborne has been named the Pac-12 Player of the Week. This is UCLA's 69th all-time honor, second-most in the conference.
Osborne averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in UCLA's road sweep at Arizona to end the regular season. She led the Bruins in scoring in both games, scoring 18 points in a 64-46 win at No. 12 Arizona and 17 points in a 59-52 win at Arizona State. Against the Wildcats, she recorded her second double-double of the season and seventh of her career, adding 10 rebounds to her 18 points to help snap Arizona's 16-game home winning streak. She added seven rebounds and four assists in the win at Arizona State and hit clutch three-pointers to give UCLA the lead late in the second quarter and then again with a minute to play in the third quarter to regain the lead for good. She was just as strong defensively, as she helped limit Arizona to a season-low 46 points and was key in holding Arizona State to just 27.6% shooting in the second half. Osborne recorded her 200th career assist and 400th career rebound in the Arizona game.
Osborne and the Bruins will open Pac-12 Tournament play on Wednesday, Mar. 2 against USC at 6pm.
