No. 6 USC Men's Volleyball Continues MPSF Conference Play With Two Matches Against No. 15 BYU

The No. 6 USC men's volleyball team (11-3) challenges No. 15 BYU (5-9) twice at the Galen Center this week. The Trojans take on the Cougars on Friday night (Mar. 4) at 7 p.m. PT, and then return the following night for a rematch on Saturday (Mar. 5) at 7 p.m. PT. 

The Cougars, who are 0-2 in MPSF conference play, lost two matches to Grand Canyon in Provo, Utah last weekend (1-3 on Feb. 25 and 2-3 on Feb. 26). 

Friday's  match will be available via live stream, and Saturday's match will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network with Anne Marie Anderson on the call (all links found on the men's volleyball schedule page at

USC is ranked 6th in the current AVCA Division I-II Top 15 poll, and BYU is No. 15.

USC is 7-0 at home this season and looks to improve that record with two home matches this week.

As a team, USC is in the Top 10 nationally in four statistical categories: second in digs (9.77 per set, and first in MPSF), second in assists (12.51 per set, and first in MPSF), thrd in kills (13.17 per set, second in MPSF) and fifth in hitting percentage (.336, second in MPSF).

The Trojans hold a 23-48 record in their series with BYU dating back to 1974. USC is 1-9 in its last 10 matches against the Cougars.
