Trio Of Ducks Named All-Pac-12

Mar 1, 2022

EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon landed three players on the All-Pac-12 team, as Te-Hina Paopao, Endyia Rogers and Nyara Sabally each earned all-league recognition, the conference announced Tuesday.
All three have now received all-conference honors in back-to-back seasons as Paopao and Sabally were named All-Pac-12 for the Ducks last year while Rogers earned all-league recognition while at USC. Oregon is one of two teams in the league to have three players on the team (Stanford).
The trio are combining for 42.9 PPG on the season and have scored 62.1 percent of the team's points since Jan. 7. The Ducks are the only team in the Pac-12 to have at least three players averaging over 13.0 PPG on the season as all three rank in the top 15 in the conference in scoring. Sabally is seventh putting up 14.8 points per game while Rogers is eighth at 14.7 PPG and Paopao is 13th averaging 13.4 per contest.
Sabally leads the team in both scoring and rebounding while her six 20-point games and five double-doubles are both the most on the team. She is one of two Pac-12 players averaging at least 14 points and seven rebounds per game with her 14.8 PPG and 7.0 boards per contest. The redshirt junior ranks seventh in the league in both scoring and field goal percentage (52.9%) and ninth in rebounding.
Rogers is second on the team in scoring while also averaging 4.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. She scored in double figures in 14 of the 16 Pac-12 games during the regular season while leading the team in scoring seven times. The junior transfer from USC led the team in scoring in Pac-12 play with 15.3 per contest and is putting up 15.8 PPG while shooting 44.3 percent from the field in the last six games.
Paopao, who earned both all-conference and all-freshman honors last year, is third on the team and scoring and assists (3.3/game) and is scoring 14.1 PPG in the 19 games since she returned from injury. The sophomore has scored at least 20 points five times, including three straight 20-point performances in January against California (21), Arizona (24) and UConn (22). Paopao is averaging 17.6 PPG in the five games she has played in against ranked opponents, scoring 20-plus points three times.

Additionally, sophomore Maddie Scherr earned honorable mention All-Defensive Team honors after averaging 1.5 steals per game. She was also one of the primary defenders that helped UO hold the league's top five leading scorers to a combined 10.1 PPG against the Ducks.
This marks the sixth time that Oregon has landed at least three players on an all-conference team in a season (1979, 1980, 2018, 2019, 2020).
