Rowing Opens the Spring Saturday at the Las Vegas Invitational

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Washington State rowing team takes to the water for the first time this spring Saturday, March 5, as the No. 17-ranked Cougars head to Lake Las Vegas to row against No. 3 Washington and Southern California at the Las Vegas Invitational. The regatta is set to begin at 9:15 a.m. PT.

The Cougars will compete in a total of four races at the Las Vegas Invitational, starting with the Second Varsity 4+ at 9:15 a.m. PT. The First Varsity 4+ will follow at 9:30 a.m. PT. The Second Varsity 8+ boat starts its race at 9:45 a.m. PT and the First Varsity 8+ will conclude the Las Vegas Invitational at 10 a.m. PT.

The Lake Las Vegas Rowing Club's Facebook page will live stream each race at the Las Vegas Invitational.

Washington State enters the 2022 spring season ranked No. 17 in the CRCA/Pocock Preseason Poll. The Cougars are coming off a 2021 campaign that saw WSU earn an at-large bid into the 2021 NCAA Rowing Championships, where they finished 15th overall.
