Soccer Announces Spring Schedule

Mar 3, 2022

EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon soccer team will play five exhibition matches this spring, including four at Pape' Field, head coach Graeme Abel announced. All spring matches are free and open to the public.

The Ducks will open the spring slate April 9 at Portland.

Oregon will then host two matches in April, the 16th versus Lewis & Clark and the 23rd against Seattle. The match with Seattle kicks off at 11 a.m. so that fans attending the Oregon Spring Football Game later that day (1 p.m.) can catch some soccer beforehand.

The Ducks finish the spring by hosting Western Oregon May 7 and Oregon State May 21. All home matches will kick off at 5 p.m., with the exception of the April 23 Seattle game.

Oregon will return three all-Pac-12 players who were key performers on a 2021 team that posted Oregon's best record – 9-4-6 – in 15 years and secured back-to-back winning seasons for the first time in 40 years. Oregon's tie for fifth in the Pac-12 was the Ducks' highest conference finish since coming in second in 2006.

Those all-league players returning include record-setting goalkeeper Leah Freeman and defenders Croix Soto and Chai Cortez. Cortez and top playmaker Zoe Hasenauer are taking advantage of the extra eligibility granted by the NCAA to return for a fifth season in Eugene.
