Windy Conditions Postpone Las Vegas Invitational To Sunday
The Washington women's rowing team will have to wait one additional day to open its spring season as the Las Vegas Invitational was delayed by a day due to wind.
The Huskies were scheduled to race in four categories vs. Pac-12 rivals Washington State and USC Saturday morning at Lake Las Vegas. Originally, the conditions led to race officials pushing everything from the morning to the afternoon, but when the newly scheduled start time drew closer, the wind was still too strong to allow the regatta to get underway.
Sunday, the Huskies will row at the same times as originally scheduled, but one day later, and only vs. USC, as Washington State will return to Pullman:
(Schedule revised again Sat. night at 7:30 p.m. PT ... here is the latest:)
