ASU Hosts #4 Baylor Wednesday Night

TEMPE-  ASU Men's Tennis takes on No. 4 Baylor this Wednesday, March 9 at 6:00 p.m.  (MST). The match can be viewed on the ASU live stream. ASU is coming off a second-place finish at their inaugural Eight-Team Invite. No. 27 Murphy Cassone and No. 56 lead the Sun Devils. Cassone is riding a four-match win streak and has won five of his last eight.

Last Time Out
The last time out, the Sun Devils fell 4-2 to Memphis on the final day of the 8-Team Invitational Tournament. The Sun Devils had gone undefeated in the previous matches, winning over #65 Rice and UC Santa Barbara.  The Sun Devils took the doubles point against the Tigers with help from Salle and George Stoupe as well as Jonah Wilson and Moritz Hoffman. While the Sun Devils struggled in singles, No. 27 Cassone earned a victory defeating Oscar Cutting 6-4, 6-3.
 
Scouting the Bears
The Bears are on a hot streak with wins over #20 Oklahoma and #58 Illinois. The Bears are 15-1 on the season and ranked at No. 4. In doubles, Baylor has a pair of ranked players in No. 19 Jake Finn and Sven Lah as well as No. 24 Juan Pablo Grassi Mazzuchi and Matias Soto. In singles, the Bears have No. 28 Adrian Boitan, No. 42 Sven Lah, No. 106 Tadeas Paroulek, and No.110 Matias Soto.
 
Coming up
After the match against Baylor, the Sun Devils are staying in Tempe for a Spring Break Tournament starting on Friday, March 11th and ending Sunday, March 13th.
