EUGENE, Ore. – Just over a week since its season-opening weekend, the Oregon beach volleyball team is back in action Tuesday afternoon with a home match against Portland. First serve of the midweek match is scheduled for 12 p.m. (PT) at Amazon Park. The Ducks carry a 3-1 record into the in-state matchup.
Last Time Out
The Ducks enter Tuesday's match off a 5-0 sweep over Master's (Feb. 26) in Northridge, Calif. The No. 4 pair of Alex Laita and Bea Wetton gave UO its first point followed by a three-set by Madelyn LaFollette and Daley McClellan at the No. 2 spot in the lineup. Oregon clinched the team win with a victory at the top spot from Reagan Hope and Brooke Nuneviller.
Weekend Wrap
Oregon's lineup combined for a 16-4 record during the season-opening weekend including a 4-0 start by Reagan Hope and Brooke Nuneviller at the No. 1 spot. The Ducks also got an exhibition win from Dahlia McAllister and Batia Rotshtein—a straight-set triumph—against CSUN.

The Opponent: Portland
Portland carries a 1-3 record into Tuesday's match in Eugene, having split matches at Corban (March 3) in Salem, Ore. The Pilots opened their year with two losses against Washington, a team receiving votes in the preseason AVCA poll. Oregon and Portland are scheduled to play three times this year including a return date April 21 in Eugene.
Nuneviller Continues National Team Training
Two-time indoor All-American Brooke Nuneviller was invited to attend the USA Women's National Team Spring Training Camp (March 5-12) in Anaheim, Calif. She is one of several currently collegians invited to compete and train under the National Team coaching staff. Nuneviller and Reagan Hope were 4-0 in the top spot of the UO beach lineup during the season-opening weekend.
Welcome, Coach Dillard
Jason Dillard was named head coach of Oregon Beach Volleyball in September 2021. He spent 18 years as the director and head coach of the Goldenwest Volleyball Club (GWVBC), a program that produced nearly 250 college players including 93 at the Division I level. Dillard also spent 12 seasons (2006-17) at Fullerton College with previous Division I experience at UC Riverside (2004-05).

The Ducks are off to Salem, Ore., on Saturday for matches against Bushnell and Boise State. First serve of the twin will is scheduled for 10 a.m. (PT).
