Utah Lacrosse Sweeps Weekly ASUN Honors
ATLANTA, Ga. – For the third time this season, the University of Utah Lacrosse program has swept the weekly ASUN awards with Tyler Bradbury and Samuel Cambere earning offensive and defensive players of the week for the second week in a row.
This is Cambere's and Bradbury's third player of the week honor this season with Bradbury also earning his second USILA DI Team of the Week honor today as well. Both Utes were integral in Utah's win over No. 8 Jacksonville on Sunday, propelling the team to its first top-10 win.
Cambere led the Utes in ground balls for the fourth straight game, recording a season-high seven along with a team-best two caused turnovers. He ranks first in the ASUN in ground balls per game (6.25) and is second in total ground balls (25).
Cambere currently has a streak of eight games with five-or-more ground balls dating back to the 2021 season. The Flower Mound, Texas, native also ranks sixth nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.5), also leading the league in that category.
Bradbury recorded a career-high four goals in Utah's win over the Dolphins, finishing with a season-best six points (2 assists), scoring his four goals on five shots on goal (.833). It was his fourth-straight multi-goal game.
He ranks second in the ASUN and in the top-25 nationally in assists per game (2.0), also ranking second nationally and first in the league in shot percentage (.667). He scored Utah's first goal of the game to spark a 3-0 run in the first quarter, also scoring Utah's 6th, 12th and 15th goals of the game.
