Pac-12 Announces Early 2022-23 Conference Dates

Mar 9, 2022

SAN FRANCISCO - The Pac-12 Conference revealed on Wednesday the dates for early conference games as part of the league's 20-game schedule for 2022-23.

Colorado will open Pac-12 play hosting Arizona State on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the CU Events Center. The Buffaloes will travel to play at Washington on Sunday, Dec. 4, in Seattle.

All 12 early Conference games will take place during a four-day span around the 2022 Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 2.

The 2022-23 league season will be the second of the new 10-year opponent rotation previously announced in May 2021. Colorado's one-time opponents in 2022-23 will be Arizona and Washington State. The Wildcats will not visit Boulder next season while the Buffaloes avoid the trip to Pullman, Wash.

This new 10-year rotation began with the 2021-22 season and will extend through 2030-31, and features a pair of mirrored five-year segments (2021-22 to 2025-26, 2026-27 to 2030-31) with venues flipped for the early Conference games and single-play opponents.

A prior 10-year rotation was implemented for the 2011-12 season, the league's first after expansion to 12 members, and completed during the 2020-21 campaign, the league's inaugural 20-game conference season.

Further 2022-23 league schedule details will be announced at later dates.
