Softball Hosts 2022 Home Opener on Friday
After four weeks on the road, Oregon will play its 2022 home opener Friday at 4 p.m. at Jane Sanders Stadium against Portland State. Oregon will continue play in the Oregon/OSU Tournament with a doubleheader versus North Dakota State Saturday at 10 a.m. This will be the 186th meeting between the Ducks and the Vikings (Oregon leads, 124-61). It will be the first meeting between Oregon and NDSU since 2015.
HOME RUN BARRAGE
Oregon hit 17 home runs during its five-game trip through North Carolina last weekend. Vallery Wong hit five of them, Ariel Carlson smacked four, KK Humphreys hit three and Alee Bunker and Gabby Herrera both hit two.
After four weeks of play in 2022, the Ducks lead the Pac-12 and ranks 17th nationally in fielding percentage (.980).
Nearly half of Oregon's runs (63-of-137) have been scored after two outs in an inning.
