Mar 14, 2022

Offensive Player of the Week: Kelsey Huff, Sr., M, USC (Eastport, N.Y.)

  • Scored a total of 16 goals for the Trojans across three games and finished the week with two ground balls and four caused turnovers.
  • Recorded her 26th, 27th, and 28th-career hat tricks to move into second place all-time in school history in that category.
  • Her career-high seven-goal performance against Colorado on Friday made her only the third Trojan to ever score seven times in a game.
  • Went 4-for-6 overall from free position and shot 100 percent against Oregon on Sunday.

Defensive Player of the Week: Katie Vahle, Fr., GK, ARIZONA STATE (Manorville, N.Y.)

  • Helped the Sun Devils go 2-0 this weekend to start Pac-12 play, the first time in program history that ASU has started 2-0 in conference.
  • Registered 10 saves, while allowing only nine goals, in Friday's win over Oregon.
  • Collected three ground balls and caused a turnover, as the Sun Devils needed a great defensive effort in the 11-9 victory.
  • On Sunday, helped ASU to its second victory over a top-25 team in program history, defeating No. 23 Colorado, 20-6.
  • Played 49:28 and made six saves, while allowing only five goals. The six goals by the Buffs were their fewest against an unranked team since a loss to Cal in their inaugural 2014 season.
