Cate Reese Named AP Honorable Mention All-American
TUCSON, Ariz. – For the first time in her career, Cate Reese was recognized by the Associated Press as she was named an honorable mention All-American on Wednesday morning.
On the season, she led the team in scoring and rebounding as she averaged 14.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. She was at her best down the stretch before her injury as she scored in double-figures in all but one Pac-12 game she played in.
The Cypress, Texas native was named Pac-12 Player of the Week back in mid-November and was named All-Pac-12 for the third season in a row. The senior is seventh in Arizona history in career scoring and fourth in total rebounds.
Reese and the Wildcats are set to face off UNLV in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at 7 p.m. in McKale Center.
