Signee Dylan Anderson Named Gatorade Player of the Year in Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. – Dylan Anderson, who has signed with head coach Tommy Lloyd and will join the Wildcats for the 2022-23 season, was named the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Arizona on Wednesday. It's the second straight season the 7-footer from Perry High School brought home the honor.
Anderson helped Perry to a 25-5 record and the first state championship in school history after topping Chandler Hamilton in the 6A title game. For the season, Anderson averaged 13 points, 11 rebounds and nearly two blocked shots per game.
Other Arizona high school players that have won the player of the year award multiple times and gone on to play at UA include Nico Mannion, Jerryd Bayless and Alex Barcello.
