USC’s Nike Agunbiade Reaches Platform Championship Final To Wrap Up NCAA Championships
Junior Nike Agunbiade finished sixth on platform to lead the Trojans on the final day of competition at the 2022 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships on Saturday (Mar. 19) in Atlanta, Georgia.
All-American Agunbiade improved from her consolation final appearance last year, finishing sixth overall with 278.35 points. During prelims, Agunbiade tallied 304.25 points.
USC wrapped up the NCAA Championships with 102 points, finishing 16th overall. The Trojans improve from their 22nd place finish in 2021.
In the 1650y freestyle, freshman Caroline Pennington was 11th, posting a 16:03.16 to give the Trojans some late points.
The Women of Troy capped off the evening with a 19th place finish in the 400y free relay as Anicka Delgado, Laticia Transom, Hanna Henderson and Kaitlyn Dobler combined for a 3:13.81.
