Oregon State Opens Spring Slate Winning Winchell Cup and Crawford Plate over No.19 Washington State

DEXTER LAKE, Ore. – Oregon State women's rowing opened its 2022 spring season on Sunday, March 20, winning the annual dual in the first and second varsity eight, and varsity four races over No. 19 Washington State at Dexter Lake.
The Beavers hold onto the Winchell Cup for another year after achieving a team win from the combined effort from all five boats that raced on Sunday. The Crawford Plate was awarded to OSU's V8 boat after winning the race over WSU by nine seconds.
OSU's first varsity eight posted the fastest time of the day with a 6:35.3 to finish first in front of WSU's varsity eight at 6:44.9. The Beavers second varsity eight finished six seconds in front of the Cougars with a time of 6:45.8.
In the first race of the morning and with four boats across, OSU's first varsity four posted a 10-second victory over WSU's second varsity four who came in second with a time of 7:33.6. The Beavs second varsity four came in forth in the event with a time of 7:53.2
The Beaver 3V8 boat finished six seconds behind the Cougars with a time of 7:04.8 in the final race of the regatta.

3rd Varsity Eight Race

  2. Oregon State – 7:04.8 (Coxswain: Anna Michie, Hanna Eha, Sasha Delman, Grace Rossetti, Taylor Kopaskey, Anna Godfrey, Dacee Zent, Annelise Norkitis, Evan Park)
  3. Washington State – 7:32.0

1st Varsity Four Race

  1. Oregon State – 7:28.6 (Rebecca Camplin, Rebecca Logan, Lorelei Deely, Torree Hawken, Cox: Charlotte Gregory)
  2. Washington State – 7:38.4 

2nd Varsity Four Race

  1. Washington State – 7:33.6
  2. Oregon State – 7:53.2 (Adrienne LaJoie, Sasha Delman, Annelise Norkitis, Maddy Sheppard, Cox: Emily Wood)

The Beavers hit the road for the first time this spring on Saturday, March 26 for a scrimmage with No. 2 Stanford in Lake Natoma, Calif.
