The Cougs Open The Goodwin this Thursday

STANFORD, Calif. – The Washington State men's golf team hits the links this week as the Cougars head to the Golden State to participate in The Goodwin at the Stanford Golf Course. The three-day tournament gets started Thursday, March 24, at the Stanford Golf Club and runs through Saturday, March 26.

The Course and Format
The Goodwin is a three-round tournament that will hold one 18-hole round per day starting Thursday. The tournament will take place at the Stanford Golf Course, a 6,742-yard course that plays as a par-70.

Tee Times
Tee times for the first two rounds of The Goodwin will be staggered throughout the morning and afternoon. WSU tees off the first round at 7 a.m. PT on Thursday and then kicks off the second round Friday at 12 p.m. PT. Tee times for Saturday's third round will be determined at the conclusion of the second round.

The Field
Washington State along with host Stanford, California, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington will represent the Pac-12 Conference at The Goodwin. The rest of the 26-team field consists of BYU, Cal Poly, Denver, Drexel, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Tech, Hawai'i-Hilo, Howard, Little Rock, Long Beach State, Nevada, Miami (Ohio), Northwestern, Rutgers, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose State, SMU, St. Mary's, and Wofford.

Last Time Out
Freshman Peter Jung finished the 2022 Bandon Dunes Championship in a tie for sixth place Tuesday, March 8, as the Washington State men's golf team concluded the tournament in a tie for eighth place on the team leaderboard after posting a three-round score of 866 (+34).

Jung, who was playing the tournament as an individual, capped off his three-day stay at the Sheep Ranch Golf Course by shooting 3-under par; 68. Jung shot 5-under on par-5 scoring in the tournament to complete the Bandon Dunes Championship at even-par; 213.
