SEATTLE -- After just dipping a toe into the outdoor season last weekend in West Seattle, the Dawgs take a flying leap this week with a full team on the road at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State at the Paul Derr Track. Well over 100 teams are converging on Raleigh for a big early season invitational as Washington athletes look to stand out from the crowd and start their outdoor season strong.

The meet goes Thursday through Saturday. Thursday track events will feature the men's 1,500-meters, the men's 5,000-meters, and the women's 10,000-meters, and field events will be the women's pole vault, men's and women's javelin and men's and women's shot puts.

Friday's long day starts at 7 a.m. Pacific time with the women's 5,000-meters, and proceeds with 100/110m hurdles, 100m and 400m dashes, women's 1,500-meters, men's and women's steeplechases, the women's 5,000-meters, then the men's 10,000-meters to wrap up. Field events will have men's and women's discus throws, high jumps, triple jumps, and the men's pole vault.

Saturday track action features the 4x100m relays, 800-meters, 400m hurdles, 200-meters, and the 4x400m relays. Field events on the final day are the hammer throws, and the long jumps.

Washington is traveling over fifty athletes this week, with the university officially on spring break.
