Beavers Prepare for Home Series with Stanford

• Oregon State softball hosts its first Pac-12 home series with No. 25 Stanford this weekend for its annual Dam Cancer series, presented by Willamette Valley Cancer Institute and Research Center. Friday's game begins at 6 p.m. PT. Saturday's game begins at 5:00 p.m. PT followed by the Sunday series finale at 12 p.m. PT. All games will be available on the Pac-12 Network.

• Stanford brings a 20-6 record into the Pac-12 weekend but have lost its last two. The Sun Devils are hitting .311 as a team with 18 home runs and 34 doubles, averaging 5.4 runs per game.
• Taylor Gindlesperger is first on the team in batting average (.449) and is tied in hits (31) with three other players. Sydnee Huff leads the team in runs (23) with 31 hits in all 26 games started. Emily Young is the final Cardinal with 31 total hits with a team-high 26 runs batted in, batting .383 with 11 extra base hits.
• Alana Vawter is 11-3 with a 1.84 earned run average and 75 strikeouts in 83 2/3 innings. Regan Krause is 6-1 with a 1.33 ERA while Molly Millar is 9-2 with a 1.50 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 23 1/3 frames.

• Stanford leads the all-time series with Oregon State 54-38 and but the Beavers are 15-8 under head coach Laura Berg. The Beavers and Cardinal have split the last 10 matchups (5-5).
• Last season, the Cardinal took the four-game series winning three in Stanford. OSU's win came on May 1, 2021 by a score of 6-3.

• Oregon State dropped out of the rankings this week after a 1-3 performance last weekend in Arizona after losing the Pac-12 opening series with No. 22 Arizona State before the Beavers defeated Grand Canyon to conclude the four-game trip. Following the weekend, the Beavers move to 23-7 overall and 0-3 in conference play.
• Charity Sevaaetasi led the Beavers to thrilling 6-5 extra at the Lopes on Monday after delivering the game-winning RBI in the top of the eighth inning, snapping the three-game losing skid. Sevaaetasi went 2-for-3 with three runs batted in, two runs scored and was one of two Beavers who went yard.
• Freshman Eliana Gottlieb led the offense in last weekend's four games, adding four hits with a home run, two RBIs and a run scored. Madison Simon tied Sevaaetasi with two bombs and two RBIs over four-game span.
• Tarni Stepto earned the lone win in the circle for the Orange & Black, picking up her ninth career Beaver victory.

• The Beavers hit the road next weekend for a series with California. The three-game series begins on Friday, April 1 at 3 p.m. PT, continues on Saturday, April 2 at 1 p.m. PT and concludes on Sunday, April 3 at 12 p.m. PT.
• All three games will be available on California's live stream.
• Prior to the Pac-12 series, Oregon State will play a single game on Thursday, March 31 at Mount St. Mary's at 3 p.m. PT
