The Game
Oregon State and Nevada play the first of two midweek games at Greater Nevada Field in Reno on Tuesday. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m. PT.

Last Game
Tanner Smith hit a ninth-inning grand slam and Travis Bazzana drove in the go-ahead runs in the seventh to send Oregon State to a series-clinching 13-9 win over California Sunday in Berkeley. Garret Forrester also homered for the Beavers, who won their 10th series in the last 11 against the Golden Bears. OSU scored eight runs over its final three turns at bat for the win in the back-and-forth game. Smith's homer, whuich gave OSU breathing room after coming into the ninth up 9-8, was his second of the year.

Against Nevada
• Oregon State and Nevada are meeting for the 21st time on Tuesday. The Beavers hold a 15-5 advantage, and are 8-3 in games played in Reno. 
• The Wolf Pack took both games of a midweek series in Reno in 2019.
• Current OSU Director of Operations, Ryan Gorton, was the winning pitcher in the Beavers' 10-7 victory in a 2012 game in Reno.
• The last four games, and five of the last six, between the teams have been decided by one run.

Oregon State Notes
• Tanner Smith's grand slam Sunday extended his hit streak to six games. He has 12 hits with eight RBI, four doubles and two home runs during the streak.
• Travis Bazzana is also on a 10-game streak coming into Tuesday's matchup. Bazzana, who has a team-best 13 multiple-hit games this season, has 20 hits with 19 RBI during it.
• Bazzana is second in the Pac-12 with 29 RBI. Jacob Melton leads the conference with 37.
• Justin Boyd, meanwhile, is second in the Pac-12 with a .411 batting average. Melton is close behind at .396, which is fifth.
• Oregon State ranks second in the Pac-12 and fourth nationally with a .332 batting average. The Beavers are batting .345 in non-conference play.
• The Beavers have already scored 10 or more runs in nine games this season. That's just one shy of the 2021 team's total over 61 games.
• Oregon State ranks sixth nationally with 9.8 runs per game. The Beavers are third with a plus-5.5 scoring margin.
• The Beavers have already assured themselves of their 18th-consecutive winning March (not including the Covid-19 shortened 2020 season). 
• OSU is 11-2 when scoring first this season and 9-1 away from home.
