Mar 28, 2022

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The Oregon beach volleyball team picked up a win at No. 1 pairs Monday morning in Phoenix, but seventh-ranked Grand Canyon came away with the 4-1 match victory. The match was the Ducks' fifth in three days, and third against a top-12 team in that stretch.
Oregon (8-8) secured a dual point with Reagan Hope and Brooke Nuneviller rallying for a three-set win on court one. The UO pair forced a third set after dropping the opener, and then pulled away for an 18-21, 21-18, 15-7 win over the Lopes' duo of Anaya Evans and Jess Vastine.
Grand Canyon (16-4) jumped out to a 2-0 lead with straight-set wins on courts three and five, and then clinched the match with another win at No. 4 pairs. Chloe Brown was making her road debut in lineup, playing alongside Ella Tyus in that spot. At the No. 2 spot, Daley McClellan and Madelyn LaFollette lost to Allison Hansen and Allanis Navas, the reigning AVCA/CBVB National Pair of the Week.
