COLUMBUS, Ga. – Junior Emma Spitz was named to the 15-member ANNIKA Award Watch List for the third time in her career, the organization announced Monday morning. The ANNIKA Award is presented annually to the top female U.S. collegiate golfer; the winner voted on by players, coaches and members of the college golf media.

Spitz leads the UCLA women's golf team with a 72.7 scoring average and is the only Bruin to have each of her rounds this season count towards the team score. Spitz also leads UCLA with nine under-par rounds and three under-par finishes in three tournaments this season.

Spitz is coming off her second runner-up finish of the season at the PING/ASU Invitational hosted on Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, Ariz., last week where she recorded three consecutive under-par rounds to finish at 7-under 209.

Spitz' two other under-par finishes came at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Oct. 15-17 (-1, 212) and Nanea Pac-12 Preview on Nov. 1-3 (-8, 211) which she posted her other runner-up finish at. Spitz has notched three top-10 and six top-20 placings in her seven tournaments played this season.
