USC's Cole Paxson Named MPSF Men's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week

LOS ANGELES—Graduate libero Cole Paxson was named the MPSF Defensive Player of the Week after his strong defensive performances in USC's matches against No. 14 Stanford over the weekend. 
 
This is Paxson's fourth career weekly honor, and third time being selected as the Defensive Player of the Week this season, which is a conference-high this year. 
 
USC has had five different players earn weekly conference honors in the 2022 season.

Paxson accumulated 24 digs through eight sets (3.00 D/S) as the No. 5 Trojans split two MPSF road matches against the Cardinal up in Stanford, Calif. He was in double-digits each night, collecting a match-high 10 digs in the 3-1 loss on Friday (Mar. 25), followed by another match-high 14 digs in the 3-1 win on Saturday (Mar. 26).
