No. 5 USC Men's Volleyball Faces Off Against Crosstown Rival No. 1 UCLA in Two Matches

THIS WEEK
This week, the No. 5 USC men's volleyball team (17-4) faces off against crosstown rival UCLA (15-3) in two matches. The Trojans challenge the No. 1 ranked Bruins first on Thursday (Mar. 31) in the Galen Center Pavilion at 7 p.m. PT. Then on Saturday (Apr. 2), USC travels to Westwood, Calif. for a rematch against UCLA in Pauley Pavilion at 5 p.m. PT. 

Thursday's match will be live streamed at USCTrojans.com, while Saturday's match will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network with Anne Marie Anderson on the call. 

Thursday's match in the Galen Center Pavilion will be free admission.

RANKINGS
USC is ranked 5th in the current AVCA Division I-II Top 15 poll, while UCLA is ranked No. 1. 

DEFENDING OUR HOUSE
USC is 12-0 at home this season. USC is currently tied for the second-best season home court record, going 12-0 in 2019. USC's all-time best home court record was 14-0 in 2000.

STATS OF NOTE
As a team, USC is in the Top 10 nationally in four statistical categories: second in assists (12.58 per set, and first in MPSF), third in kills (13.18 per set, second in MPSF), fourth in hitting percentage (.352, second in MPSF) and fifth in digs (9.37 per set, and first in MPSF).

OPPONENTS
The Trojans trail 46-100 all-time against the Bruins. USC is 3-7 in its last 10 matches against UCLA.  

BROTHERLY LOVE
Graduate transfer Sam Kobrine will be facing his old team for the first time this week. In addition to seeing his former teammates across the net, he will be playing against his brother, Kevin, who is a redshirt junior opposite.
