Arizona GymCats beat West Virginia to advance to Round 2 of NCAA Regionals
NORMAN, Okla. – Arizona Gymnastics won the first round meet against West Virginia with a 196.525 to advance to the second round of regionals. Junior Malia Hargrove placed first on vault, bars, and the all-around. Freshman Emily Mueller placed first on beam and sophomore Caroline Herry tied for first on floor.
"The team performed very well this afternoon," said head coach John Court. "We had some excellent performances across all 24 routines, and they left it all on the floor and owned the moment. We will play in the evening session of Round 2 and the goals will be the same: be competitive, have fun, make routines, and stay in the moment."
